Michael J.A. Davis      Michael J. A. Davis

Michael J.A. Davis entered The George Mason University in the fall of 2005. After graduating from the Center for the Fine & Performing Arts at Woodbridge Senior High School (Woodbridge, VA) with concentrations in Dance, Vocal Performance, and Visual Art, Davis was admitted into the renowned GMU dance department where he performed as member of the GMU Dance Company for nearly two years.

Now, after directing his academic focus toward a unique study in George Mason's New Century College, Michael is currently an Organizational Administration major with plans to complete a minor study of African American Studies and Leadership.

In addition to his, already heavy, academic schedule, Michael Davis has elevated in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. since his initiation in the spring of 2006. As a new member he was elected to the office of Vice Polemarch of the "Mighty" Mu Mu Chapter. In the same semester, he ran and won the seat of Eastern Province Strategus. Soon after, the Fraternity honored Michael in summer 2006 as a Beta Class "Kappa Fellow" at Kappa's Undergraduate Leadership Institute. The following year, under the leadership of then-Mu Mu Chapter Polemarch, Larry Smith, Davis helped lead Mu Mu to its sixth I.W.E. Taylor Eastern Province Small Chapter of the Year award (2006).

In Summer 2007, Davis endeavored to campaign for the highest undergraduate national office. At the 78th Grand Chapter Meeting (Conclave) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was sworn in as the Junior Grand Vice Polemarch. Davis now leads a nation of achievers. Overseeing approximately 350 collegiate chapters and nearly 4,000 undergraduate fraternity members, Michael aims to bring to fruition the vision of Kappa's 31st International Grand Polemarch, Dwayne M. Murray, Esq.

In his fourth year at George Mason University, Michael J.A. Davis continues to offer guidance at his home chapter. While striving to lead the collegiate men of Kappa Alpha Psi, Michael exhibits a true "Habit of Excellence", actualizing the fraternity's national theme, "Creating Inspiration: A Call to Service".
