The Know Your History program is a comprehensive study on African American history. Visual aids are used; notes made by a History major, field trips, Internet sources, artifacts and antiques. The goal of the program is to use history as a vehicle to enlighten youth about culture and heritage, and about themselves. The information is used to be a tool to help deal with social barriers. This program holds both boys and girls ages 8-13. The program moves through the history from Africans, through slavery up to the present.
